Subcycle resolved strong field ionization of chiral molecules and the origin of chiral photoelectron asymmetries
We report on strong field ionization of S- and R-propylene oxide in circularly polarized two-color laser fields. We find that the relative helicity of the two single-color laser fields affects the photoelectron circular dichroism (PECD). Further, we observe that PECD is modulated as a function of the subcycle release time of the electron.
Experimental fingerprint of the electron's longitudinal momentum at the tunnel exit in strong field ionization
We present experimental data on the strong field tunnel ionization of argon in a counter-rotating two-color (CRTC) laser field. We find that the initial momentum component along the tunneling direction changes sign comparing the rising and the falling edge of the CRTC field. If the initial momentum at the tunnel exit points in the direction of the ion at the instant of tunneling, this manifests as an enhanced Coulomb interaction of the outgoing electron with its parent ion.
Strong time dependence of ocean acidification mitigation by atmospheric carbon dioxide removal
Abstract In Paris in 2015, the global community agreed to limit global warming to well below 2 \({}^{\circ }\)C, aiming at even 1.5 \({}^{\circ }\)C. It is still uncertain whether these targets are sufficient to preserve marine ecosystems and prevent a severe alteration of marine biogeochemical cycles.
Diagnostic accuracy of dermatofluoroscopy in cutaneous melanoma detection: results of a prospective multicentre clinical study in 476 pigmented lesions - Forschner - - British Journal of Dermatology - Wiley Online Library
Early detection is a key factor in improving survival from melanoma. Today, the clinical diagnosis of cutaneous melanoma is based mostly on visual inspection and dermoscopy. Preclinical studies in freshly excised or paraffin‐embedded tissue have shown that the melanin fluorescence spectra after stepwise two‐photon excitation, a process termed dermatofluoroscopy, differ between cutaneous melanoma and melanocytic naevi. However, confirmation from a larger prospective clinical study is lacking.

Dynamics of a Paradigmatic Linear Polymer: A Proton Field-Cycling NMR Relaxometry Study on Poly(ethylene-propylene)
The dynamics of melts of linear poly(ethylene-alt-propylene) (PEP) of different molar masses (M) is investigated by 1H field-cycling (FC) NMR relaxometry. Employing a commercial and a home-built relaxometer the spin-lattice relaxation rate R (?) is measured in the frequency range of 200 Hz to 30 MHz and the temperature range of 200–400 K.
Segmental Mean Square Displacement: Field-Cycling 1H Relaxometry vs Neutron Scattering
Proton (1H) field-cycling (FC) NMR relaxometry is applied to monitor the crossover in the segmental subdiffusion from the Rouse to the constrained Rouse regime in an entangled linear polymer melt. The method probes the dispersion of the spin–lattice relaxation rate R (?). Via Fourier transformation the segmental mean square displacement ?r2(t)? is calculated from the intermolecular relaxation contribution R inter(?) to the total 1H spin–lattice relaxation dispersion R (?).
