Anker Soundcore Nebula P1 Review: This Potent Projector Is All About That Bass
Yes, Anker's Soundcore Nebula P1 is a projector, but that's not actually what defines it. Its claim to fame is its speakers, which make the Soundcore name particularly apt. They deliver better-than-typical audio for the P1's $799 list price (which, incidentally, is often discounted). What makes them so intriguing is that they're detachable and wireless—place one on each side of the screen, for example, and get an immediately obvious, immersive boost in sound quality.
The Question of Referentiality
1 Introduction What determines the reference of singular terms like names, demonstratives, and indexicals in context? Most theorists have approached this question in a piecemeal manner, offering one answer for names, another answer for demonstratives, and yet another answer for indexicals. This piecemeal approach is no accident. Indeed, it can seem the only way to handle an enduring set of hard cases.
The Best Laser Printers for 2026
So, who would find a laser printer preferable to an inkjet? Definitely not a home user looking to print photos, much less a photo enthusiast or a professional photographer, nor someone looking for a portable printer. But lasers are a good fit for text and graphic output, particularly in bulk: long research papers, book drafts, legal contracts, monthly invoices, and the like.
The Best Projectors for 2026
Projectors have come a long, long way from the days when they were largely interchangeable. Today's models target specific roles: permanent installation in a home theater, room-to-room portability for home entertainment, presentations in a conference room, or other niches. I'm PCMag's projector expert, with nearly four decades of experience reviewing display technology, including projectors from their earliest days.
Epson Expression Photo XP-980
The Epson Expression Photo XP-980 has a lot in common with the Epson XP-8800, one of our Editors' Choice picks for a photocentric all-in-one (AIO) printer. Among the features both share are a six-color ink system, a 4.3-inch color touch-screen control panel, and conveniences such as an output tray that automatically extends from its closed position when you start a print job.
LG CineBeam S 4K UHD Smart Triple Laser UST Projector PU615U
Compact ultra short throw (UST) models are uncommon in the projector world. Indeed, the LG CineBeam S 4K UHD Smart Triple Laser UST Projector PU615U is only the third we've reviewed, and, at $1,299.99 list price, the most expensive of them. The first model we tested is no longer available; the second, the 1080p (1,920-by-1,080) AAXA M8 UST, is the only model that comes close to being a direct competitor.
Interleaved bond frustration in a triangular lattice antiferromagnet - Nature Materials
AAXA M8 Laser Projector
The AAXA M8 Laser Projector ($419) is arguably the biggest a projector can be and still qualify as a palmtop, although if you have small hands, you may think it's over the limit. Either way, the device is light enough to rest on a palm, and even when stored in its bundled carrying case, it fits easily in a briefcase or backpack. It's also equally good for home entertainment and presentations on the road.
High-Fidelity Universal Gates in the ${}^{171}$$\mathrm{Yb}$ Ground-State Nuclear-Spin Qubit
Optically trapped neutral-atom platforms are among the most promising architectures for fault-tolerant quantum computation. Although several implementations of high-fidelity gates have been shown using neutral atoms, we demonstrate that encoding a qubit in the nuclear-spin states of an ground state allows for flexible and high-performance gates.
Continuum of magnetic excitations in the Kitaev honeycomb iridate D3LiIr2O6 - npj Quantum Materials
Abstract Inelastic neutron scattering (INS) measurements of powder D3(7Li)(193Ir)2O6 reveal low energy magnetic excitations with a scattering cross-section that is broad in ∣Q∣ and energy transfer. The magnetic nature of the excitation spectrum is demonstrated by longitudinally polarized neutron scattering.
Field-dependent magnons in the honeycomb antiferromagnet ${\mathrm{CoTiO}}_{3}$
Figure 4 (a), (b) Magnon spectrum near the magnetic zone center (ZC), (0,0,1.5); (a) in the absence of a magnetic field and (b) with a 7.5 T field applied along the (1,−1,0) direction. (c) Constant Q cut of the ZC magnon spectrum for different field strengths in the (1,−1,0) direction. An integration range of ±0.1 rlu and ±0.02 rlu were used along the L and the (ζ,ζ,0) directions around the magnetic ZC at (0,0,1.5), corresponding to ∼±0.05Å−1 in both directions.
Canon imageCLASS MF455DW Review
The Canon ImageCLASS MF455dw is a good business printer with super-fast printing speeds that reach 24.95 ppm in black and 21.7 ppm in color. It ranks at the top of our certified, tested printers in terms of printing speed. With low running costs of just 3.6 cents, this printer is a good choice for workgroups. However, it doesn’t print in color. If your printer won’t print black and white without a color cartridge installed, learn how to troubleshoot in our post.
Epson Ecotank ET-15000 Review
The Epson EcoTank ET-15000 is an incredible upper mid-range printer for offices and busy households/home offices. It has remarkably low running costs of 0.3 cents per page, which ranks the best among our certified, tested printers. You also get a massive estimated page yield of 6840 black-only prints and 4574 color prints. Its max print resolution of 4800 x 1200 DPI ensures details in the prints are clear, and the 1200 DPI scan resolution with 24-bit color depth is suitable for high-quality scans.
Tax Court Raises Questions About SECA Exemption Claimed By Fund Managers
In Soroban Capital Partners LP v. Commissioner,1 the Tax Court addressed the scope of the so-called “limited partner exception” from U.S. federal self-employment tax (“SECA”). The tax base on which SECA applies excludes “the distributive share of any item of income or loss of a limited partner, as such.” The statute does not define the phrase “limited partner, as such” for these purposes.
Challenges in measuring fine sediment ingress in gravel‐bed rivers using retrievable sediment trap samplers
1 INTRODUCTION Fine sediment (<2 mm) stored within the interstices of gravel-bed rivers is an important component of catchment fine sediment budgets (Foster et al., 2011). It naturally promotes matrix development (Frostick et al., 1984) and it plays an important role in nutrient cycling and aquatic health (Hauer et al., 2016; Wilkes et al., 2019).

Quantum wake dynamics in Heisenberg antiferromagnetic chains - Nature Communications
Abstract Traditional spectroscopy, by its very nature, characterizes physical system properties in the momentum and frequency domains. However, the most interesting and potentially practically useful quantum many-body effects emerge from local, short-time correlations.
How We Test Projectors
At PCMag, our goal for projector testing is to follow a test methodology that does two things well. First, the process lets us report meaningful information based on objective results, in the form of quantitative measurements and carefully defined qualitative observations. And second, it defines a consistent test procedure that ensures our results are fully comparable from one review to the next.
Detection of Kardar-Parisi-Zhang hydrodynamics in a quantum Heisenberg spin-1/2 chain
Abstract Classical hydrodynamics is a remarkably versatile description of the coarse-grained behaviour of many-particle systems once local equilibrium has been established1. The form of the hydrodynamical equations is determined primarily by the conserved quantities present in a system.
The Best Printers for 2020
What Type of Printer Is Right for You? Here are some pointers to help you find both the right category of printer and the right model within that type, along with our top-rated reviews. The three most useful ways to categorize printers are by purpose (general or special), intended use (home or office), and technology.
WD My Passport (5TB)
Feb. 5, 2020 One of the differences between a generic external hard drive and a top contender like the WD My Passport ($149.99 for the 5TB model tested here) is the manufacturer's added effort to make a simple plastic box look attractive. Slightly rounded edges and ripples over part of the surface give the My Passport drive the look and tactile-friendly feel of a consumer gadget. The ripples also help keep the drive from slipping out of your hand easily.
LaCie 2big RAID
Jan. 30, 2020 Aimed squarely at professionals like videographers, photographers, and musicians who produce mountains of data daily, the LaCie 2big RAID external hard drive earns kudos for design excellence in both looks and features. And it does that job well enough to be our new Editors' Choice for rugged external hard drives.
Dell Latitude 7400
Dec. 14, 2019 When we reviewed the Dell Latitude 7300 recently, we judged the 13.3-inch business laptop excellent but just short of Editors' Choice material. The Latitude 7400 (starts at $1,299; $2,335 as tested) offers the same appeal, including Intel's IT-friendly vPro management technology and Thunderbolt 3, HDMI, and USB 3.1 Type-A ports, with a 14-inch display.

How We Test Printers
Printers have come a long way since they were limited to the single task of taking orders from a computer to put marks on paper. They've expanded their territory to cover scanning, copying, faxing, and sending email; they've added support for printing from cameras, memory cards, and USB keys; and they've picked up tricks like printing on optical discs. Perhaps surprisingly for such a basic tool, manufacturers are still finding new capabilities to add to printers.
How We Test Scanners
When multi-function printers (MFPs) first became popular, a lot of people predicted that standalone scanners would disappear. That hasn't happened yet, however, and it doesn't seem very likely. The simple truth is that most scanners do a better job of scanning than most MFPs. That's enough to keep the category alive and well. There are several different ways to slice and dice scanners into groups.

Montreal racehorse owner Irving Liverman had a long lucky streak
Irving Liverman, who died on April 29 at the age of 94, was blessed with good fortune both on and off the track during his long life. Mr. Liverman, a.k.a. Lucky, owned a stable of trotters and pacers that won some of the most prestigious harness races in North America. The modest businessman, who lived a charmed life, transformed a tiny light-bulb business into a thriving multimillion-dollar enterprise.
Uriel Luft: Ballet impresario was devoted to dance
During a meeting between King Alfonso of Spain and Sergei Diaghilev, the famed impresario of the Ballets Russes, in 1916, the King interrogated Mr. Diaghilev about his role with the troupe, “You don’t dance. You don’t direct. You don’t play the piano. What is it that you do?” Mr. Diaghilev’s often-quoted response was hyperbole, suggesting that he and the King shared a similar nobility. “Your Majesty, I am like you.
Surgeon Ted Percy ‘performed miracles’ for athletes
Edward Percy’s great skill as an orthopedic surgeon earned him the nickname Brother André, a nod to the legendary Montreal faith healer who was canonized in 2010. Some of Dr. Percy’s patients, including Montreal Canadiens great Serge Savard, believed the doctor could work miracles, too, sometimes resuscitating the careers of athletes who had suffered serious bone breaks and ligament damage. Dr. Percy died of cancer on March 2 in Saanich, B.C. He was 92.
Remembering Knar Yemenidjian, survivor of the Armenian genocide
She was one of Canada’s last living links to an atrocity that occurred more than 100 years ago. Although Knar Yemenidjian, who died on Jan. 19, reached the age of 107, her childhood was marred by unfathomable violence that nearly ended her life. “We’re all grieving with the family,” Armen Yeganian, Armenia’s ambassador to Canada, commented after Ms. Yemenidjian’s death.

Impaired functional capacity is associated with all-cause mortality after major elective intra-abdominal surgery
Background Studies of preoperative cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET) have shown that a reduced oxygen uptake at anaerobic threshold (AT) and elevated ventilatory equivalent for carbon dioxide (VE/VCO ) were associated with reduced short- and medium-term survival after major surgery. The aim of this study was to determine the relative values of these, and also clinical risk factors, in identifying patients at risk of death after major intra-abdominal, non-vascular surgery.
