Precision oncology in advanced melanoma: molecular landscapes and personalized therapy recommendations from the Molecular Tumor Board Freiburg
Abstract Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) and BRAF/MEK kinase inhibitors have substantially improved survival in advanced melanoma; however, therapeutic resistance and severe toxicities underscore the ongoing need for alternative strategies.
The 201 Trial: a placebo-controlled randomized phase 2 study of safety and tolerance of the c-Abl kinase inhibitor risvodetinib in untreated Parkinson’s disease | Nature Aging
|
Abstract The nonreceptor Abelson (Abl) tyrosine kinases have been implicated as key drivers of initiation and progression in Parkinson’s disease (PD). Risvodetinib, a potent, brain-penetrant, selective inhibitor of the nonreceptor Abl kinases c-Abl1 and c-Abl2/Arg (collectively, c-Abl), was evaluated in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase 2a trial (‘the 201 Trial’) using once-daily 50 mg, 100 mg, 200 mg or placebo in 137 participants with early, untreated PD.

Happy Little Luis
The batting cage is baseball's Rialto. There that rowdy, fooling, profane company—the big leaguers-greet each other, heroic children at the sandbox. Not long ago, behind the cage in Sarasota, where old men murmur like old grass in the stands, Luis Aparicio met Yogi Berra. Aparicio plays shortstop for the Chicago White Sox with major grace, passion and invention and a little hot dog; Berra is the senior catcher from New York. "Hello, Shorty," said Luis; nifty, crafty, canny little face.
AN ICY LOVE-IN WITH THE RED-HOT BLUES
Though he never lived to discover the difference between a hockey puck and a lacrosse stick, Pierre Lacl√®de Li-guest—the French fur trader who founded St. Louis 205 years ago—would be a Blues fan today. Everybody living within a long slap shot of the Arena at 5700 Oakland Avenue is a Blues fan today, from that Tulsa couple who just bought season tickets to that nice man, Stan, who owns the restaurant up the street.
Evaluating the skills of isotope-enabled General Circulation Models against in-situ atmospheric water vapor isotope observations
The skills of isotope-enabled General Circulation Models are evaluated against atmospheric water vapor isotopes.
Arm Retraction Dynamics in Dense Polymer Brushes
Large scale Monte Carlo simulations of dense layers of grafted polymer chains in good solvent conditions are used to explore the relaxation of a polymer brush. Monomer displacements are analyzed for the directions parallel and perpendicular to the grafting plane. Autocorrelation functions of individual segments or chain sections are monitored as a function of time.
