How is social media changing news?
To say technology has changed the newspaper media industry is understating the obvious. In my office, where I oversee the content of a content-driven marketing plan, we spend a lot of time talking about the future of newspapers – what does a successful newspaper look like? For journalists, to be successful is to command multiple technologies and to share news with readers in new and exciting ways.

What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means to seek truth, to build and connect community ... and to be a mirror to community.

#catjawns ... maybe?
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
E-mail.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
What tools don't I use? iPhone, iPad, laptop, lavaliere mic, tripod. iTALK, Splice, Video Pro Camera.
What's your favorite social network?
Facebook. That ages me.

The Prime Minister of Israel .. but the Azerbaijan ambassador to the U.S. tagged me in a tweet today!
Why did you become a journalist?
I love to learn about other people and tackle tough topics.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Yes. I was features editor.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Between Victim And Perpetrator. After the story was written more women, victims of rape, came forward.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Innovate.
