The Case for QR Codes
is now part of CreativePro.com! This article appeared in Issue 55 of InDesign Magazine. One handy feature in InDesign is the ability to generate QR (quick response) codes within an InDesign document. QR codes are a special kind of barcode in the form of a square mosaic pattern—you’ve probably seen them increasingly appearing on posters, advertising, and packaging. But what made the InDesign team decide to add them to their software?

How to Delete an Undeletable Page Item in InDesign
is now part of CreativePro.com! This article appeared in Issue 74 of InDesign Magazine. Q. I inherited a document from a co-worker who was laid off abruptly. He must have known something was about to happen, because the opening page of the file he was working on has a nasty note in a text frame. I tried to delete the frame, but I couldn’t select it. I checked, and it wasn’t locked. I tried Command+Shift+click (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+click (Windows) and still couldn’t get rid of it.
