A former scientific advisor with Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati and scientist with the University Health Network, Madhu Kumar served five years as a postdoctoral fellow with the London Research Institute. Working out of the Institute’s headquarters in London, England, he conducted studies that categorized ctDNA as a pre-imaging diagnostic agent for solid cancers and analyzed the salubrious effects of GATA2 on Ras-driven lung cancer. Madhu Kumar’s achievements while working with the London Research Institute include winning a Hardiman-Redon Prize and receiving long-term fellowships through the European Molecular Biology Organization and the Human Frontier Science Program.
Throughout his career, Madhu Kumar has also served fellowships from the National Science Foundation and the Ludwig Center at MIT. At its 2012 conference, the European Association for Cancer Research awarded him its Poster Prize. In addition to his own research accomplishments, Mr. Kumar has mentored students who have won the MIT Salvador E Luria Prize and the MIT Biology Undergraduate Research Symposium Award.
