What does it mean to be a journalist?
Being a journalist means being a storyteller. It means being a truth-seeker and a guardian of democracy.
Why did you become a journalist?
I wanted to tell stories and feel like I was making a difference in my community.
What's your favorite drink?
A nice, cold cider
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
Crime reporters are heartless. In my opinion, they're actually some of the most empathetic people.
