Have you ever used a typewriter?

A good friend recently gave me a typewriter. Now I’m in “repair mode,” figuring out how to make it click, clack, and type again.

Why did you become a journalist?

Writing is where I find my voice and my way of connecting with people. I’m naturally curious and ask questions wherever I go, and journalism gives me the chance to turn that curiosity into stories that matter. I’m passionate about learning every day, engaging with my community, and using my work to shed light on issues of social importance.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Hiking Hudson Valley trails, tending a garden heavy with sun-warmed fruit, visiting local museums and historical sites, joining poetry workshops, and enjoying DIY music shows alongside neighbors and friends.
