Manan Bhatt is the bestselling author of ‘Balakot Air-Strike: How India Avenged Pulwama’ and ‘Kargil Yuddha’.
Born and brought-up in Gujarat’s Amreli, Manan is a proud Navy veteran and a vocal supporter for the Ex-servicemen community. He volunteers to support welfare measures of Ex-servicemen and their families. He has earned accolades for his work in resolving issues related to pension. He believes in the power of volunteerism and giving back to the ESM community.
Manan’s primary assignments in the Indian Navy were on board Frigate and Corvette class of ships and has participated in Op Talwar, Op Parakram, Op Swan and Op Ocean Shield. He separated honourably from the Navy as a Petty Officer after serving fifteen years and earning the following awards: Fifty Years of Indian Independence Medal, Nine Years Long-Service Medal, Operation Vijay Medal, Operation Vijay Star Medal and Operation Parakram Medal (among others).
During the service, he completed his Graduation and Masters from Saurashtra University through distance education.
Manan is a Banker by Profession, Sociologist by qualification, a Military Historian by choice, a Human Resource Leader and Trainer by past Occupation, a Strategic Thinker by vocation, Author by inclination, an avid cyclist by passion and a Patriot by heart.
