Why did you become a journalist?
To tell truth.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Yes! I was the editor of the paper. I covered arts-based news, reported on oratory events (debating etc), and wrote the annual editorial.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
My coverage of the (alleged) discovery of James Cook's ship, the HMB Endeavour, and the academic row that ensued.
When's the best time to pitch you?
All mornings before 11am. Email is preferable.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
Easily, to cover a classical music show playing in Sydney. It's such an interesting niche!
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
The gym! I love training.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
This is kind of cheating, but The New York Times. I love how understandable and clear it is.
