Mandi Keighran’s Biography

Mandi Keighran is a London-based freelance travel & design writer.

She is formerly Editor of Oryx, the award-winning inflight magazine for Qatar Airways. Prior to this she was Deputy Editor of N by Norwegian, the inflight magazine for Norwegian Air, and Editor of Indesign magazine, Australia’s leading architecture and design title. She has also worked as Design Editor for ICON magazine, one of the world’s leading design publications. In 2017 and 2018, she was shortlisted for Consumer Writer of the Year at the Travel Media Awards.

She travels the world writing about destinations from Svalbard to Sydney, and has interviewed a diverse range of personalities, from celebrity chefs, musicians and astronauts to a 97-year-old daredevil. As a design writer, she has written about major architecture and interior design projects, has profiled some of the world’s foremost designers and architects, and has covered design fairs around the globe.
