Here Are A Few Resources To Help You In Your Fight Against Covid-19
(A brief on the new corona symptoms, a realistic view of the healthcare scenario, and some resources to help you with the fight against this deadly pandemic) Hi everyone, I’m writing this post as I recover from the second wave of Covid-19. Though I recovered, in another house in my family, I lost a family member, my nanu (maternal grandfather), to Covid-19. First of all, I will write about my encounter with Covid, in brief, so that you know the symptoms, realistically.
Too Much ‘Love’ To ‘Aggression’: Have India’s Primetime TV Shows Changed?
Many years ago, probably when I was in school, I had heard this from somewhere that TV and Prime Time shows are being encouraged to be broadcasted as a birth control measure. The best shows (like those of Balaji Telefilms) always started a little late, like after 10 or 10.30 pm. Even today if you see, even shanties and slums in India have a TV for sure, even if they have no other appliance. They do not have a gas stove, or any other electric equipment, not even an electric iron, but they have a TV.
Not Just Colleges, Hazing Happens In Workplaces And Relationships Too
I’ve wanted to write about this topic for quite some time now, mostly because I’ve come across hazing in all major aspects of my life, and I refuse to be a part of it—neither the victim nor the perpetrator. What Do I Mean When I Use The Word ‘Hazing’? Wikipedia says that it “refers to any activity expected of someone in joining or participating in a group that humiliates, degrades, abuses, or endangers them regardless of a person’s willingness to participate.” In simple words, it means ragging.
Only 6/100 Corporate Chairpersons In India Are Women
Written by: Karan Arora A large body of evidence in the past has found a positive business case for having more women in company boardrooms. Consulting firms, information providers and financial institutions such as McKinsey, Thomson Reuters, Deloitte, Catalyst and Credit Suisse have undertaken studies that conclude that the presence of a greater number of women in boardrooms has a positive effect on the firm’s bottom line.
If You Check Any Of These 10 Boxes, Signs Are Your Workplace Is Toxic
I follow a psychologist Richa Vashisht on Instagram. I found one of her posts very relevant, the one that talked about toxic work environments. This pandemic and the lockdown hence is a great opportunity to reflect if your workplace is toxic and if that is what has in-fact prevented you from enjoying your work. Managers especially should ask themselves this — if they’re creating toxic work environment and if that is what is stopping people from working at their full potential.
Opinion: A Democracy Without The Media Is Like A Vehicle Without Wheels
The media has enormous power. It is undergoing huge changes now. It seemed like it’s time to step back and look at how the media shapes our lives and perceptions of reality. — Thomas Hunt Morgan The Real Role Of Media A democracy without the media is like a vehicle without wheels. Considered the fourth pillar of democracy, the media contributes a lot to the three core processes of a democracy, namely transparency, publicity and accountability, which strengthen the democracy.
Here Are 10 Things News Channels Can Report On, Instead of Peddling Fake News
I don’t watch the news, I have to admit, a little shamefully though. I’m not updated with what’s happening in the country or world on a day-to-day basis. I stopped keeping track of the COVID-19 numbers too, after April-May. It’s difficult for me to participate in small talk with people in their late 40-50s because they really like to talk about current events, or rather, the gossip fed to us by news-houses.

How To Make Your Workspace Safe For All Genders?
Is your workplace a safe space? A close friend and I were catching up on call — after you hit the mark of a certain age, marriage and career become two important topics of discussion — inevitably, we must’ve been discussing something about the latter when she asked me, my colleague prefers the They/Them pronouns, what does that mean? I tried to answer this the best I could, then redirected her to Richa’s Instagram account.
