Mansoor Peer’s Biography

Mansoor Peer was born and brought up in Kreeri area of Baramulla. Alumni of Department of Convergent Journalism, Central University of Kashmir, he currently works with Rising Kashmir, a leading English newspaper in Srinagar where he primarily reports health since 2015. He has extensively covered 2016 Kashmir Unrest, 2019 lockdown, Covid-19 pandemic besides has been a strong voice in Kashmir healthcare in Jammu and Kashmir. Besides, he has also reported on urban and rural development, unemployment, climate change, natural calamities, human rights, etc. in past Peer has also worked with some of the national organizations like Firstpost as a freelancer journalist from Srinagar. He is also part of 101reporters, a network of freelance journalists.
