Working at The AV Club as Chicago City Editor.

Email please! And with an indication that you know where I write and the kinds of stories I have done and could do.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Google Drive all day every day.
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter, I think. It's the most useful for work and I learn the most there. If only it weren't being run by a total maniac...
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I did. I was the editor in chief and I thought I had much more power and influence than I'm sure I actually did.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Read a lot every single day, and not just stuff you're already exposed to.
What's your favorite drink?
Something cold and fizzy.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Sitting on the floor playing with my kids.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That it's all fun and games. It's still a job! (Though admittedly it's a pretty good one!)
