1 Introduction Burnout is an increasingly prevalent syndrome associated with significant individual suffering, reduced societal productivity, and substantial economic costs due to decreased work performance and elevated healthcare utilization (Han et al., 2019; Neill et al., 2022; Martinez et al., 2025).
We obtained data from Dutch employees registered in the Longitudinal Internet Studies for the Social Sciences (LISS) panel, overseen by CentERdata Research Institute. This panel comprises approximately 7,500 randomly selected Dutch individuals from Statistics Netherlands’ database [60]. The panel members participate in an annual survey on various topics, and more information is available at www.lissdata.nl.
