I would have sooner believed that unicorns existed than an openly gay Asian-Australian politician who has been working, nay, thriving for years. By Margot Tanjutco 23 May 2019 - 10:15 AM  UPDATED 30 MINS AGO When I first heard of Penny Wong, I couldn’t believe she was real. It was during the marriage equality plebiscite and I would have sooner believed that unicorns existed than an openly gay Asian-Australian politician who has been working, nay, thriving for years. A damn good one too.
