"It’s a really inclusive scene," Inside Canada's Wild World of Skijoring.
What do you do when you’re faced with the choice between spending a winter day on horseback or on the slopes? If you’re Skijor Canada founder Sam Mitchell, you combine them. Mitchell’s love of horses and après-ski long predates the foundation of Skijor Canada. “I’ve spent most of my life with horses,” she said. “Growing up in rural British Columbia and Alberta, finding ways to have fun in winter was part of the deal, and pulling friends around behind a horse was one of them.
Tile Experts Share the Easiest Way to Tile a Bathroom Floor Without Hiring a Pro Original
At their start, home renovation projects often feel daunting—especially when you’ll be installing something fragile like tiles on your bathroom floor. But while it is time-consuming, the process isn’t nearly as challenging as it might seem; special attention does need to be paid. Bathrooms are high‑moisture environments, so proper tile installation is critical to protecting your home’s structure.
Most Homeowners Treat Invasive Lawn Grass the Wrong Way—Here’s the Pro Guide to Killing It Without Harming Your Plants Original
A few blades of grass poking into your flower bed might look like a minor cosmetic issue, but it’s usually the first sign of a slow takeover. Once grass gets a foothold, it can siphon off water, steal nutrients, and block sunlight from the plants you actually want to keep—while making an otherwise well‑maintained garden look neglected. The difference between a couple of stray sprouts and a full invasion comes down to timing: ignore it too long and the grass will outcompete your flowers and shrubs.

If you’ve ever spent an afternoon plucking weeds only to watch them pop right back up a week later, you know how frustrating it can be. Avoid Zion’s Crowds This Summer, Hike on the Quiet and Stunning East Side
In 2025, Zion National Park welcomed nearly 5 million visitors, making it the nation’s second most visited park—and cementing its reputation for crowded viewpoints and long shuttle lines in Zion Canyon. These are five of East Zion’s most stunning hikes.
How the Great Salt Lake’s Collapse Could Rewrite Skiing in the West
The largest saline lake in the Western Hemisphere—the Great Salt Lake—sits less than an hour from Utah’s most famous ski resorts, including Alta, Snowbird, Solitude, and Snowbasin. It contributes between five and 10 percent of the state’s renowned snowpack every year. But the fabled body of water is shrinking fast, threatening not only the skiing in the region, but throughout the Mountain West.
First Impressions: Deer Valley’s Terrain Expansion
Photo courtesy Deer Valley. Last Saturday, I went skiing at Deer Valley. Finally, my long-awaited chance to explore the resort’s terrain expansion had arrived. From my first steps into the brand-new East Village Gondola, it became clear Deer Valley thought of every small detail.
