Replacement Strap for B&M Diver?
#2 · I'm very happy with my toshi strap! :-! But if you want an original sailcloth strap, it's best to contact your nearest B&M AD or Richemont. A friend of mine also has the Capeland XXL and contacted Richemont, because his sailcloth strap was too short for his wrist. They offered him a longer one and even to have one made to the length he prefers. That option is not cheap though! :-x #3 · I'm not a fan of original straps.
My NEWEST STOWA
This is truely an incredible watch and while it is not my first Stowa it is my favorite! I cannot say much that has not already been said about this watch, but will say that it is all that I expected it to be! It is well respected on the Dive watch forum and has many admirers there! I do want to say thank you to Viveca,it was she who made it possible to get my watch with the 2824-2 COSC movement as I ordered it after it was announced there were no more COSC movements to be had!! Citizen Bull Head 8110a Restoration and Service by 31 Jewels
#1 · Hi, my name is 31 Jewels and i am a master watchmaker located 80 miles north of Lancaster Pa. You may have seen my other service and restorations here in the Citizen/Seiko forums before of the 8110a 23 jewel mechanical chronographs. I have been collecting the 8110a models for years now and i have mentioned that my favorite model is the 67-9054. I have never owned, serviced or restored a Bull Head model before and this is the first time i have gotten the chance to have one in my shop.
The "Jaws" Watch...finally revealed?
Is it me, but where does it say that watch is the 'Jaws' watch? The insert states "Hooper's watch is reborn using a vintage Alsta Nautoscaph and Speidel Mach 1 bracelet ... " Then it says "In 1974 an Alsta Nautoscaph would have been a very plausible choice to place on Dr. Matt Hooper's wrist". Is there more to the article that is not shown here, as what is shown surmises, not proves, what watch was worn. :rodekaart
Home from Florence visit!
Returned home late last night. Our trip to Florence was wonderful!! The sites, the people and the food and history will stay with us always. I also managed to find the 2 Anonimo ADs that were listed in the "buying it at the source" thread. I purchased a bronze Polluce at the Ponte Vecchio AD, Gioielleria Callai, Ponte Vecchio, 17 50125, Firenze. The elderly gentleman (Mr. Callai?) and his son(?) were very helpful and big Anonimo fans.
How accurate is your Sinn U2?
#1 · Ok... so I recently received my U2 secondhand... and although I really love the way this watch looks and wears... it's not very accurate for a watch that costs well over $1K. Mine runs about < 20-25 seconds every 24hrs. Of all my autos and manual winds this one is the least accurate of them all. This post is not a slam on my U2 at ALL... just want to find out how others watches run. |> I normally take off my watch at night and store it laying on the side... maybe I should try something different????
