What was your first job as a journalist?

Writing for DISCoveries, a record collector's magazine which was eventually acquired by Goldmine.

Why did you become a journalist?

The opportunity to write about music arose as an outgrowth of my work as a publicist for what I call entertainment technologies.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

My cover features on Les Paul for DISCoveries and Mix Magazine.

What's the worst pitch you ever got?

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

That I am a typical audiophile. I consider am more of an "everyman" audiophile. I love great sound but it doesn't have to bankrupt you...
