For eye candy: Instagram. Also, Pinterest. For keeping up with the Gen Xers in my life: facebook. For watching home design videos: youtube.
Why did you become a journalist?
I saw "Broadcast News" and wanted to be the girl running the tape to the control room. I stayed because I love learning something every day.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I am a very proud alum of Ka Leo O Hawaii, the University of Hawaii's daily newspaper. Yes, it was a daily then!
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I love writing and producing environmental stories, especially those about Hawaii and California.
What's your favorite drink?
Tea. Earl Grey, if possible. Or maybe a chai. Coffee if it's all that's around and I'm being convivial. Every now and again, a margarita.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
At a coffee shop or the bookstore.

Air Mail, Stat, New York Times, Architectural Digest, Vogue, Conde Nast Traveler, National Geographic.
