Have you ever used a typewriter?
Actually, I have. I'm old enough to remember using a typewriter because computers were so scarce in my community.
How is social media changing news?
I actually think it's blurring the line between news and gossip/fiction. Too many people take the things that they read on SM as fact.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Inoreader has become an invaluable resource for me. The IFTTT program is also amazing.
What's your favorite social network?
Instagram
Why did you become a journalist?
I began writing about indie musicians because I really enjoyed their music and wanted as many people as possible to enjoy their music also.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I didn't. I didn't realize I had a bit of a talent for writing until relatively late in life.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
One of the articles that I am most proud of writing is a review of the single "For No One" from Toronto based pop-soul singer STORRY.
What's your favorite drink?
A traditional Old-Fashioned with a cherry and orange slice.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
At my full-time job: Parkridge Medical Center.
