Mary Carroll Murphy, a trailblazing business owner and former Fortune 500 executive, was born and raised in Western Massachusetts. Currently, she helms Cost Cures, an innovative software company established in 2024 in Peterborough, New Hampshire. Cost Cures is pioneering in providing transparency for dental, healthcare, and vision costs to mitigate the high costs of healthcare nationwide. The firm is developing an AI-based database to help users find affordable rates for various medical services. Furthermore, her team is working to incorporate telemedicine and medically trained concierge services, accessible through their website and a dedicated app.
In addition to her corporate responsibilities, she and her husband started Black Shoals Farm in 2022, a non-GMO and chemical-free farm located in Francestown, New Hampshire. This venture focuses on sustainable agriculture, producing fruits, vegetables, edible flowers, and herbs.
In her earlier career, Murphy was notably the first Charles Schwab Independent Branch franchisee in 2011.
