What was your first job as a journalist?
I worked for Pouveer, a small local circulate that was started by a young thinker from Brits. I was a writer and journalist

No, but I hope I get the chance.

It is impacting the way news is disseminated and how news is reported by citizen journalists.

What does it mean to be a journalist?
To have integrity in communicating honest information about a topic - especially sensitive topics.
What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?
That's a tough one. Nothing comes to mind, but it would probably have been a hashtag that can easily be misinterpreted as a spelling error.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
With a lot of enthusiasm and clarity. I like understanding clearly what is required of me.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
The MS office and Google suites. YouTube, Wordpress, Grammarly, Hemmingway App, Shared Calendar

I'm not really into social media, but perhaps Nicholas Sparks, Shane Koyzcan, Christopher Torr or another wordsmith.
Why did you become a journalist?
I am passionate about sharing people's stories.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I was part of the Grade 7 learners who started our primary school newspaper and even attended a course from ATKV for that.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Articles related to conservation, and vertical farming as well as my interviews with Franelyn Hoffman and Heinrich Weidemann
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
You have to have a thick skin. Whatever challenges you face, don't take it personally.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Anytime during the day.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
That is a difficult choice.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
I have been blessed to not have had a terrible pitch.

Coffee of course!

In nature.
