Technically as a feature writer at Sportskeeda, but my first full-time gig was the same role at Heavy on Sports.

Yes, my Nan owned one. It's now collecting cobwebs.

People can consume news in any format they prefer - old journalistic standards are being tipped on their heads.

I'm not familiar with any! Maybe Clark Kent?
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To work closely with a product you love whilst sharing it with a broader audience.

Through email, however the pitcher wants to pitch.

WordPress, Canva, PhotoShop, Various Website CMSs, Social Media

Why did you become a journalist?
Because my love for the sport combined with my passion for writing makes for something that doesn't feel like work.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Nope! School didn't have one.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Covering the UFC antitrust lawsuit not only allowed me to showcase an interesting development to our audience, it also educated me in the process.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
If you don't have relevant experience or qualifications, then build your own blog to impress potential employers.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Anytime other than when I'm asleep (usually 11 pm-8 am BST)
What's the best pitch you ever got?
I love it when news breaks of a major fight that is a guaranteed fan-pleaser.
