Nine Years Later, The Tesla Roadster Is Go for Launch
By Matt Hillman, September 14, 2026 NINE YEARS! Nine years since Tesla first pulled the covers off the Roadster — and now, finally, we have a date! 1 October 2026! That is the day Tesla says we will finally see the production version of its electric sports car. And when I say finally, I really mean finally, because this car has been waiting so long that some of its original competitors have already come and gone! Tesla says it will be the quickest vehicle in the world. Not quick. Not very quick.
Dollars for libraries, Seattle’s values are on the line in Aug. 4 primary
Public libraries are on the ballot this Aug. 4, and voters in Seattle face a stark choice. Voting yes on Proposition 1 means we can continue to enjoy free community access to inclusive and safe public spaces, a world of books, children’s story times, computers and Wi-Fi, teen drop-ins, job skills and citizenship classes, author talks, and much more for the next seven years and for the cost of less than a monthly Netflix subscription.
The Traveling Milburys & The Expanding Man: Two great tribute shows in St. Petersburg
The Traveling Milburys & The Expanding Man: Two great tribute shows in St. Petersburg Two great shows in three days at The Palladium Theater at St. Petersburg College. Lachy Doley Interview - No Regrets!
Lachy Doley Interview – No Regrets! I had the pleasure of getting to speak with Lachy Doley via Zoom from his home in Sydney, Australia. Lachy was born and raised in Australia, where he still resides. He started playing music with his brother Clayton Doley, who himself is also an accomplished musician. Their band released two albums in the 2000s: Live and Breathe and Everything is Wonderful. Lachy then went on to record and tour with the band Powderfinger until 2010.
As I See It: From the refuge: An open letter to our community
By now, much of the community is aware of Parker River National Wildlife Refuge’s draft environmental assessment to remove the Pink House Last Monday, I participated in a public forum to hear the community’s concerns and answer questions. I am grateful for the level of interest and involvement in this issue. People have been passionate, but also respectful and understanding.
ACES: Advancing salt marsh sparrow conservation
Editor’s note: This is one in a continuing series of educational opinions about fostering environmental stewardship and leadership coordinated by ACES — The Alliance of Climate and Environmental Stewards. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service understands that one may not care (or know) much about a saltmarsh sparrow. Chris Elphick, a conservation biologist who has dedicated most of his career to researching the small pale bird, doesn’t care much about an individual sparrow, either.

ACES: Respecting all species at the refuge
Editor’s note: This is one in a continuing series of guest opinions about fostering environmental stewardship and leadership coordinated by ACES — The Alliance of Climate and Environmental Stewards. As temperatures fall and snow-cones give way to snowstorms, many visitors wonder how exactly the staff at Parker River National Wildlife Refuge occupy our time in the absence of piping plovers and eager beachgoers.

NotPetya Ransomware Frequently Ask Questions (FAQ)
A new outbreak of ransomware, a form of malware which encrypts your files and demands a ransom payment to recover them, has hit organisations globally. It appears to be a derivative of the previously seen Petya ransomware, but with some differences. Many researchers have cast doubt on whether this really is a variant of Petya or something just designed to look like Petya, hence it has been dubbed NotPetya.

You can apply CSS to your Pen from any stylesheet on the web. Just put a URL to it here and we'll apply it, in the order you have them, before the CSS in the Pen itself. If the stylesheet you link to has the file extension of a preprocessor, we'll attempt to process it before applying. You can also link to another Pen here, and we'll pull the CSS from that Pen and include it.
