Matt Hussey

I am a London based writer who specialises in men's lifestyle and technology. I've been nominated twice for new journalist of the year, and have a range of experience across magazines, websites and iPad editions spanning seven years.

I am currently the commissioning editor of The Next Web - a technology website with more than 10 million page impressions a month. Here I oversee all third party content, develop relationships with publishers and bloggers, and write daily and weekly stories on the day's big tech themes. I am also co-founder of Provenance - a new e-commerce platform specialising in telling true stories about where products come from and how they are made. In addition, I am the founder of the Apowl media network - a collection of blogs specialising in the arts, design, fashion and travel.

As a freelance journalist, I have have written for Yahoo, FHM, MSN Him, GQ, Mr Porter, Wired UK, Project, Men's Health and ShortList. I have also written for StyList, FT Weekend, Zoo, Nuts and Virgin Magazine.

Digitally, I contribute regulary to AskMen.com, maintain a technology blog for Huffington Post, a column at Business Weekly, as well as Audience.io.

Outside of my magazine duties, I have worked on the relaunch and re-branding of companies at both domestic and international levels.

Prior to this I was news editor for T3 Magazine - a monthly gadget and technology publication - managing the news section for both the magazine, iPad and T3.com.

Outside of my journalistic duties, I also write books - I co-authored "We're Electric: A Collection of Essays on Electricity" - and develop documentaries, TV shows and films.
