For me? It is causing me to visit news outlets I wouldn't have visited in the past. Consuming different types of media.

I'm an analyst that contributes to Forbes. Don't consider myself a journalist.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Fact-based. Not a fan of hyperbole. Not a fan of numbers, statistics, and benchmarks that have no meaning to me.

mostly msft products.

Why did you become a journalist?
I'm not a journalist. I'm an industry analyst who contributes to Forbes.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
A story on AMD. Felt like I was the only intellectually honest writer - and was proven to be correct in my predictions.

become an analyst. :)

anytime - over email.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
Translation software for web properties I managed for the State of Florida. Sales rep came in with my site mocked up in Spanish.

Not sure.

Coffee.

at the gym or on a ball field.
