He later completed a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh, equipping him with the tools to engage meaningfully in a counseling career.
Matthew Deets began his professional journey as a Residential Therapist and quickly advanced to supervisory roles within social service programs, including a position overseeing a Family Preservation Program. He later worked as a Clinical Coordinator and eventually transitioned into private practice. Throughout his career, he also contributed part-time to various counseling centers, gaining specialized experience in trauma-focused therapy, risk assessment, and treatment for juveniles and adults. His training includes approaches such as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, Brainspotting, and motivational interviewing, all aimed at meeting people where they are and helping them build sustainable progress.
In 2023, Matthew expanded his work into financial coaching by becoming certified through Ramsey Solutions. Through his business, MatthewjRPC, LLC, he coaches individuals, couples, and families, helping them navigate their financial lives with clarity and confidence. He volunteers as a facilitator for Financial Peace University classes and supports other coaches by offering training that combines financial principles with mental health strategies. His work bridges the gap between counseling and finance in a way that empowers people to make meaningful changes.
In 2025, he took on the role of President and COO at Impact Training Center, LLC. He leads a team dedicated to providing affordable, accessible, and effective training opportunities for personal and professional development. His leadership emphasizes collaboration, efficient systems, and a people-first mentality. Outside of work, Matthew Deets remains quietly active in community service and outreach.
