Why did you become a journalist?
I wasn't good enough to play football, but I enjoyed writing, so I combined my passions to be a sports journalist and cover sports I love.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
4 years ago Johnny lost his 15 year old son Gabe, and ever since Johnny has been pushing to get Gabe’s Law passed, to change building regulations in multi-story car parks.Last night, a charity auction took place at LJMU, and JMU Journalism covered it! Elliot Hughes and I undertook the story, we shot footage and conducted interviews with Johnny and Mike, a lecturer and Johnny’s friend. The auction was to raise awareness about Gabe’s Law, raise money for a handful of charities and gain backing for an Olympic standard skate park within Liverpool. This story really tested my broadcast skills, but it pushed me out of my comfort zone and I believe a great package was created.
