Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

My favorite fictional journalist is Lois Lane from the Superman series. She's fearless, dedicated, and always goes after the truth, no matter the obstacles. I admire her persistence and resourcefulness—qualities that are essential in both journalism and entrepreneurship. Plus, she manages to stand out in a world full of superheroes, proving that you don't need superpowers to make a significant impact.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

I prefer pitches that are concise, well-researched, and tailored to my interests. Start with a clear and compelling summary of the story idea, highlighting what makes it unique or relevant to my work. I appreciate when pitches align with my entrepreneurial focus, language skills, or aviation expertise. Please include specific details that show you've taken the time to understand my background and accomplishments. A clear outline of what you’re looking for—whether it’s a quote, an interview, or my perspective—along with an efficient, professional approach, is ideal. Email pitches work best, as they allow me to respond at my convenience.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

I'm always trying new software and tools

What's your favorite social network?

LinkedIn

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Keep trying!

When's the best time to pitch you?

The best time to pitch me is when your idea aligns with my expertise and interests. I’m deeply involved in entrepreneurship, leadership development, international relations, and niche coaching audiences, as well as business consultancy. Here are some ideal moments to reach out:When your pitch aligns with my expertise: Opportunities in entrepreneurship, leadership training, financial consultancy, or innovative business solutions are likely to grab my attention. As I’m planning my next move: I’m currently pursuing a degree in International Relations at the London School of Economics, so anything related to global business, international affairs, or cultural projects could resonate with me.Before the launch of my book: If your pitch ties into my themes of professional and personal growth, or my experiences in Africa and new beginnings, it would be especially timely. When I’m growing new projects: Given my role at Wealth Drive Gain Limited Nigeria and my history of building startups, I’m always open to ideas related to business development or strategic partnerships.Make sure your pitch aligns with my values and focus on fostering leadership and financial freedom for others.

What's the best pitch you ever got?

The best pitch I ever got wasn’t just about selling an idea—it was about solving a problem in a way I hadn’t considered before. Someone approached me with a travel startup concept that combined adventure sports and entrepreneurship workshops. It hit all the right notes: a clear value proposition, passion, and a vision that resonated with my own interests. That pitch didn’t just get my attention—it inspired me to think bigger about how I approach my own ventures.

What's the worst pitch you ever got?

The worst pitch I ever received was one that was completely generic and irrelevant to my interests and expertise. It was clear that the sender hadn't done any research on who I am or what I do, and it felt like a mass email sent out to a random list. There was no personal touch, no clear value proposition, and no alignment with my background in entrepreneurship, aviation, or my multilingual skills. It was a missed opportunity because pitches that aren't tailored or thought out not only waste my time but also reflect poorly on the sender.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

When I'm not at a computer, you can usually find me on the move—whether it’s exploring a new travel destination, strategizing on the go for my latest entrepreneurial venture, or staying active through sports. I believe in maintaining a balance between productivity and passion, and these activities not only keep me energized but also inspire fresh ideas for my work.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

Aside from my own work, I enjoy reading publications that align with my interests in entrepreneurship, leadership, international relations, and global culture. Some of my favorites include:The Economist: Its global perspective on business, politics, and culture resonates with my passion for international relations and staying informed about worldwide trends.Harvard Business Review (HBR): I find its insights on leadership, strategy, and innovation invaluable for both personal growth and coaching others.Forbes: Their focus on entrepreneurship, success stories, and business strategies aligns closely with my professional interests.National Geographic: As someone who values world travel and cultural experiences, I enjoy their deep dives into global stories and stunning visuals. These publications keep me inspired and provide fresh perspectives to integrate into my work and coaching.
