My name is Maya an I'm a communicator shaping nonfiction narratives through journalism, copywriting, and graphic design. Since I learned how to hold a pencil, I've been telling stories. Whether it was in crayon on the walls of my childhood bedroom or in ink on my father's only supply of printer paper, I have always had a narrative to share with the world. I began my journey with creative nonfiction in high school, when I joined my school newspaper. I learned everything I could about nonfiction writing, interviewing, and AP Style, and two years in, while I was still a high school student, I joined the staff at the Georgia State Signal in the Arts & Entertainment section. Since then, I haven't looked back, continuing my journalism journey with the Technique Newspaper, as well as copywriting with Hop City Craft Beer and Wine. From newsletters to articles, my goal is to share nonfiction stories with audiences, keeping them informed and entertained.
