The letters and numbers she received have a risqué message, and the plate has become a topic of conversation at her retirement community, where opinions are split. “And I didn’t know I was getting a plate,” Nancy Dello Stritto said. When Stritto went to collect her mail, she got quite the surprise. She found a new license plate with her vehicle registration renewal.

During Operation Silver Spur, which ran between June 1 and June 30, arrests were made for registration violations and other criminal offenses.

LONDON (AP) — Christina Bluhme was high on the flanks of Britain’s tallest mountain with her dogs and one of the hounds was a lot higher — and not in a good way. Tokyo, a 5-year-old black Labrador retriever, had apparently ingested cannabis along the trail and had to be rescued after she began to sway like she was drunk and then couldn’t walk at all. “She had a very bad trip,” said Bluhme, who was mystified at the time about what nearly doomed her dog during the July 5 hike.
