The Garage, a bar on Brady Street in Milwaukee, received hundreds of comments on social media after a leaked memo showed DJs were instructed not to play 40 Black rap and hip-hop artists. The list included Lil Wayne, Future, 21 Savage, GloRilla, Lil Baby, Gucci Mane, Rick Ross, and Migos, plus a blanket ban on all Milwaukee rap. A text message sent to DJs on August 15 said the restrictions were effective immediately. Remixes weren't exempt.

NBCUniversal, Peacock, and Ample Entertainment want $990,292 in legal fees from Sean "Diddy" Combs. A judge threw out his $100 million defamation lawsuit in April, according to a report from AllHipHop. The companies asked for $927,448 at first, then tacked on $62,844 for work they did after the rapper fought their fee request. The media companies say New York's anti-SLAPP law makes the mogul pay their legal costs because his case went after speech tied to public-interest issues.

Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage claims she's worked with more women musicians than any other artist in her country. She's now demanding that industry gatekeepers push these tracks harder. "I've heard people say that I don't feature female artistes, which is also a lie. Check the female artistes in Nigeria; I've done the most features with them," she said, according to GhanaWeb. Why do her songs with women vanish while tracks with men blow up? Tiwa Savage says she wants answers.

Zoinks! André “3000” Benjamin is heading back into the Scooby-Doo universe, and this time, he is bringing some familiar history with him. The musician and actor, known simply as André 3000 during his time with OutKast, has landed a recurring role in Netflix’s upcoming live-action series Scooby-Doo: Origins. The series is currently filming in Atlanta and is already creating plenty of excitement ahead of its planned global release in 2027, according to Deadline.
