DEARBORN, Mich., (July 14, 2026) — As law enforcement agencies across Michigan increase enforcement efforts July 12 through July 18 as part of Operation Safe Driver Week, AAA -The Auto Club Group reminds drivers that the behaviors targeted by officers are the very same behaviors responsible for many of the nation’s most serious and preventable crashes.

DEARBORN, Mich., (July 13, 2026) - Gas prices in Michigan are down 1 cent from a week ago. Michigan drivers are now paying an average of $3.95 per gallon for regular unleaded. This price is 28 cents less than this time last month but still 67 cents more than this time last year. Motorists are paying an average of $59 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline; an increase of about $8 from 2025's highest price last August.

This price is 25 cents less than this time last month but still 80 cents more than this time last year. Motorists are paying an average of $59 for a full 15-gallon tank of gasoline; an increase of about $8 from 2025's highest price last August.

The service helps keep impaired drivers off the road during the busiest travel period of the summer DEARBORN, Mich., (July 1, 2026) — With more than 72 million Americans expected to travel for Independence Day, including 61.4 million who will drive, AAA – The Auto Club Group is activating its Tow to Go program to help keep roads safe and discourage impaired driving. DEARBORN, Mich., (June 17, 2026) — AAA projects more than 2.6 million Michiganders will travel at least 50 miles from home for the Independence Day holiday travel period, which runs from Saturday, June 27 through Sunday, July 5. Most travelers will take to the road, with more than 2 million Michiganders driving to their destinations. Air travel is softening slightly, while cruising and other modes of transportation see the strongest growth.
