Revealed: Soldiers Died, Wounded During Oyo Schoolchildren Rescue
An unspecified number of soldiers of the Nigerian Army lost their lives during the daring rescue of the kidnapped students and teachers in Oyo state. For weeks, troops of the Nigerian Army from the 2 Division based in Ibadan, Oyo state had circled the terrorists at the Old Oyo National Park and had engaged them in a gun duel. Some soldiers and members of the local vigilante group lost their lives in various encounters with the terrorists.
