Two years ago, I went to my first Holidays in United States show in the basement of Ray’s. I ascended from the carpeted room with a black eye, exhilaration, and a new favorite band. Since then, the melodic emo band has only continued to grow.

Speaking about writing his new album Herzsprung, Copenhagen-based musician, engineer, and producer GB shared, “I wouldn’t really know how to work with music if I couldn’t write an album… I get obsessed with some sort of method or concept.” Unlike the collaged, texturized approach of GB’s debut, Gusse Music, Herzsprung’s method centers on exploring the foundations of songwriting: form, melody, and introspection.
