The Drupal community is heading to the North West of England, and we couldn’t be more excited. On 28 February and 1 March, the University of Salford will play host to DrupalCamp England 2026. Following the success of last year’s inaugural event in Cambridge, this year’s edition has grown into a two-day powerhouse of innovation, learning and community spirit. Annertech has come on board as a bronze sponsor, and we’re delighted to be able to support this event.

Annertech developer Tony Barker swapped the Northumberland rain for the London drizzle to attend the inaugural LocalGov Drupal Dev Days. Held at Space4 in Finsbury Park, the event brought together the ‘roomies’ (those in the building) and the ‘zoomies’ (those joining remotely) for two days of deep-dive learning and collaborative coding. Here is Tony’s account of the event.

This appointment marks a significant milestone in our continued expansion into the UK market, allowing us to bring our award-winning digital strategy, user-centred design and open-source expertise to even more public sector organisations. What is the DOS 7 framework?

Open-source software is transforming how local government delivers services, and we’re right at the heart of it. Drupal and LocalGov Drupal are at the core of most of the projects we develop at Annertech, and we’re thrilled to be talking about one of these – Luton Borough Council’s new website, the beta version of which took less than three months to create. It’s an incredible timeline and at the heart of it is the LocalGov Drupal project, a CMS created by councils for councils.
