Adult Swim pulled out all the stops at Annecy, announcing it has greenlit Heist Brothers, a new high-octane animated action comedy from Emmy Award-winning creator Genndy Tartakovsky, as part of a slate of reveals and teases presented last week.

Warner Bros. Animation is developing an adult animation Dark Shadows series based on the cult-favorite gothic television series, with Lisa Holdsworth serving as executive producer and showrunner. In 2018, the indie studio Innersloth released Among Us, a science-fiction murder mystery game that follows a group of spacecraft crewmates who have “Impostors” among them. The Impostor's goal is to sabotage the ship and kill everyone along the way. The crewmates need to complete tasks and vote out the Impostor before time runs out. The game was a massive success; Innersloth received multiple game awards for their simple but very effective idea for argumentative fun.

Netflix unveiled announcements, first looks and exclusive materials for its anime slate at the Annecy Festival, including new updates for The One Piece, The Ribbon Hero, Fool Night, Sparks of Tomorrow, Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 and Bass X Machina. The Netflix Anime Studio Focus highlighted upcoming titles from Japanese creators and animation studios, including original stories, manga adaptations and returning franchises.
