Law enforcement, sociologists, and lawyers are finding that there's a rise in really gross incidents at Dollar Trees now. The trend is called the 'Dollar Tree Gooner'.

You've never seen a speed limit sign that didn't end in a "0" or a "5." Until today. This is baffling. A new incredibly specific speed limit has been posted in Wisconsin, specifically in the town of Appleton. The sign is located at the Outagamie County Recycling and Solid Waste facility, and instructs drivers' speeds not to exceed 17.3 mph. Does your car's speedometer track your mileage to the 10th of a percent?

April was an exciting month for several Iowa breweries! Six of them took home a total of nine awards at a couple of prestigious global competitions for 2026! According to an article from the Corridor Business Journal, Iowa breweries were awarded medals at both the World Beer Cup in Philadelphia on April 22nd, and the Best of Craft Beer Awards in Oregon on April 13th.

Police in Altamonte Springs, Florida have arrested a woman for vandalizing a neighborhood for about a week straight, and it's not a type of vandalism you want to ever find in your neighborhood. Investigators with the Altamonte Springs Police Department said 50-year-old Alexis Weber was taken into custody Tuesday morning on charges of criminal mischief after being linked to multiple incidents.

Over 70 Hardee's restaurants across nine states, including Illinois, will be closing their doors after their franchisee filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Per the New York Post, ARC Burger, LLC is filing for bankruptcy. This comes after a lengthy legal battle between ARC and Hardee's. ARC is alleged to have racked up more than $6.5 million in unpaid fees and royalties.

An Iowa City woman was arrested Sunday who later told police that she lit a couch on fire to “make a crime scene.” The fire was reported around 4:51am on Sunday by a resident on the second floor of the 800 block of South Lucas Street. He told the authorities that he was asleep, and then woke up to fire alarms and wasn't sure if anybody was even home downstairs in the main floor apartment.
