BBC Studios is a British content company and commercial subsidiary of the BBC. It was formed in April 2018 through the merger of the BBC's commercial production arm and the BBC's commercial international distribution arm, BBC Worldwide. BBC Studios creates, develops, produces, distributes, broadcasts, finances and sells content around the world, returning around £200m to the BBC annually in dividends and content investment. Source

Amanda Jones, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of BBC Studios Original
BBC Studios has today announced the appointment of Amanda Jones as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). She was previously interim CFO. Jones will join the BBC Studios Executive Committee and will become a member of the BBC’s Commercial Board. She will take up the role in August, reporting to Tom Fussell, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BBC Studios/Commercial.
BBC appoints Director of HR for BBC Studios
The BBC announced the appointment of Jermaine Daw as Director of HR for BBC Studios. Daw, who also joins the BBC Studios Executive Committee, will commence the role in June, reporting to Uzair Qadeer, Chief People Officer, BBC. Daw brings more than 20 years of international experience in the sports, media, entertainment and FMCG industries to BBC Studios.

BBC Studios and ZDF renew scripted partnership Original
BBC Studios and Germany’s ZDF (Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen) announced at Content London, the renewal of their long-term strategic partnership to co-produce and acquire world class scripted content. The multi-year deal will extend co-productions on scripted TV content, with ZDF and BBC Studios partnering to co-produce titles across the BBC Studios’ content pipeline.

The agreement will see BBC Studios and Touchscreen, founded by Armando Iannucci, work together to develop and co-produce innovative, daring and world-class scripted programming for the UK and international markets, distributed by BBC Studios. Working alongside Iannucci at Touchscreen will be his long-standing collaborator and producer Kevin Loader, joined by development producer Charlotte Draper.
