At the June 22nd Hoover City Council meeting, representatives from the city joined Broad Metro, the developer of Stadium Trace Village, to present the $200 million Phase II plan. Grandview Medical Center on Highway 280 (Mary Helene Hall / Bham Now) A new 24/7 medical facility is headed to Valleydale Road. The Hoover Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved a conditional-use request for a freestanding emergency department associated with Grandview Medical Center at its meeting Monday, July 6. The project, submitted under Affinity Hospital LLC, will bring round-the-clock emergency care closer to residents near the Interstate 65 corridor.

Founded by local mom of two Tori Dill, the studio is designed to be a welcoming environment where community members can slow down, connect, and create. Dill owns the shop alongside her mother-in-law, Linda Dill, and Katy Helms.

Since 2018, Bham Now has reported the monthly Jefferson County Department of Health restaurant food service scores. Each month, the Health Department inspects an average of 100-125 local establishments that handle and serve food.
