Mary Helene is a reporter from the Alabama Gulf Coast. She graduated from Mercer University’s Reg Murphy Center for Collaborative Journalism in 2023, where she served as editor-in-chief of The Mercer Cluster. She was a member of the 2023-24 Poynter-Koch Journalism and Media Fellowship. Aritzia at The Summit opened its doors today, offering a special freebie while supplies last. (Mary Helene Hall / Bham Now) Fashion retailer Aritzia opened its first Alabama location at The Summit in Birmingham today, Thursday, August 27. The boutique sits between Pandora and Altar’d State, bringing the brand’s “Everyday Luxury” concept to the Birmingham market for the first time. Founded in Vancouver in 1984, Aritzia operates more than 140 boutiques across North America.
