Constance Fouillet will represent France on the Ladies' French Team at the 2026 European Ladies' Team Championship at PGA National Slieve Russell just outside of Ballyconnell Co. Cavan, Ireland, on Tuesday through Saturday. Incoming freshman Giselle Zhao will represent the Girls' French Team at the 2026 European Girls' Team Championship at the Golf & Country Club Zürich in Switzerland.

Maggie Kane has been named The Stacy Savides Director of Women's Tennis, California Co-Directors of Athletics Jay Larson and Jenny Simon-O'Neill announced Thursday. "We are thrilled to welcome Maggie to Berkeley as the newest member of the Cal family and the leader of the women's tennis program," Larson and Simon-O'Neill said. BERKELEY – The California women's soccer team announced its 2026 fall schedule Wednesday, unveiling an 18-match slate that features 10 contests to be played at Edwards Stadium. The full schedule can be seen here. The Golden Bears head into their third season as members of the ACC, which is widely regarded as the top conference in the sport. Nine ACC programs made the NCAA Championship in 2025, including three of the four College Cup teams.

Leonard Griffin announced Tuesday. Cal's opponents that played in last fall's postseason include quarterfinalist Portland (Aug. 21), UCLA (Sept. 1), North Carolina (Sept. 6), Notre Dame (Oct. 3), Virginia (Oct. 9), College Cup runner-up NC State (Oct. 18) and Stanford (Oct. 30). The Bears will open the regular season on the road against the Pilots and at Santa Clara on Aug. 27 before hosting the Bruins in the home opener at Edwards Stadium.

BERKELEY – Eight California baseball student-athletes were named to the 2026 All-ACC Academic Team, as announced by the conference on Tuesday. Eligible nominees must compete in 50 percent of the institution's games played, with the exception of pitchers, who need to compete in 20 percent of games. All student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00 and have a 3.00 or better in both of this year's semesters.

Infielder Maddie Rey, utility Carly Raven, and pitchers Mya McGowan and Kiki Mashhoud earned recognition for their performance on the diamond and in the classroom. Eligible nominees must compete in 50 percent of the institution's games played. All student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00 as well as be enrolled at the institution for at least one academic year.

Bears rack up academic distinctions. To qualify, a student-athlete must meet both academic and athletic requirements, including maintaining a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher for both her career and the most recent semester. Additionally, student-athletes must have participated in this year's ACC Championships and/or the NCAA Championships.

The Golden Bears, who wrapped up last season ranked No. 4 in the country, open the campaign Aug. 28 against defending national champion UCLA. Their first home game takes place Sept. 11 against Pacific. Cal has home and away MPSF games against UCLA, USC and Stanford - three of the four semifinalists at last year's NCAA Championships. The fourth semifinalist – Fordham – visits Berkeley on Nov. 13.

The Golden Bears will face six teams from the 2025 NCAA Tournament, which includes national champion Northwestern and 2025 ACC champion North Carolina, which made a run to the semifinals of the tournament. Cal reached a No. 19 national ranking in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Poll last year and will face a total of seven teams that finished the 2025 season ranked in the coaches poll.
