Former NBA Player Malik Beasley Allegedly Fixed Games To Pay Gambling Debts

Authorities indicted former NBA players Malik Beasley and Ed Davis in a Brooklyn federal courtroom on Monday. They charged the duo with crimes related to allegedly manipulating Beasley’s performances in NBA games and using inside information to profit from the betting scheme. They also indicted suspected co-conspirators William Brown, Robert Gorodetsky, Ernesto Plascencia, and Paolo Zamorano. Zamorano served as Davis’s NBA agent.

Foxwoods Aims To Set Guinness World Record For Largest Bingo Payout

Snagging a critical G-59, B-15, O-71, or some other bingo number could potentially pay off in a big way for players at Connecticut’s Foxwoods Casino. The property is celebrating 40 years of offering high-stakes bingo with a session of “Firecracker Bingo” on July 4. The event features more than $1 million in cash and prizes. That includes a $440,000 single cash jackpot and an attempt at a Guinness World Record for a bingo game’s largest payout.

CoinPoker Launches Battle Of Malta Online Satellites

CoinPoker doesn’t kick off the Battle of Malta online series until July 12, but players can start qualifying for tournaments today. The online poker site began offering its satellites for the upcoming $1 million guaranteed CoinMillion event. The qualification pathway operates within the CoinPoker app and concludes at the start of the official series on July 12. In total, the satellites will award at least 1,024 seats to the $215 buy-in tournament. The satellite system features a four-step structure.

Lawsuit Accuses Polymarket, Top Executives Of Engaging In Deceptive Marketing

Prediction markets have grown in popularity over the last two years. But a new lawsuit against Polymarket and key executives alleges they engaged in a deceptive marketing campaign to lure in American users. Additionally, it alleges they unfairly targeted college-aged individuals. The legal team representing the National Association of Consumer Advocates filed the suit in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. It claims Polymarket obscured the likelihood that bettors would lose.

Baccarat Growth Fueled Nevada Gaming Numbers In May

Big revenue from high-stakes baccarat helped fuel Nevada gaming numbers in May. The state saw gaming revenue jump 7.4% to $1.39 billion from the same month in 2024. Baccarat on the Las Vegas Strip regularly plays a major role in Nevada’s casino fortunes, and the game saw an increase of 58.6% in May to $174.3 million. The city continues to bounce back from a tourism downturn in 2025. The Strip accounted for $807.9 million of the state’s gaming revenue, up 13.2%.
