Published in the journal CHEST®, the guideline contains nine evidence-based recommendations that provide a trustworthy model for how best to care for pregnant patients with OSA.

Celebrating those who have earned the Critical Care APP credential CHEST is thrilled to recognize the advanced practice providers (APPs) who have received the CHEST Critical Care Advanced Practice Provider (CCAPP) certification. Available to nurse practitioners and physician assistants/associates, this achievement recognizes APPs who play an essential role on the critical care team and support high-quality care for patients who are critically ill across ICU settings.

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is increasingly recognized as being associated with significant morbidity in pregnancy, yet minimal guidance is available on how best to screen, diagnose, treat, and reevaluate for sleep-disordered breathing in pregnant patients. This guideline endorsed by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and supported by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists provides nine evidence-based recommendations for treating pregnant patients with OSA.
