The Washington Commanders football team has failed to block a workers’ compensation claim in Maryland by a former defensive tackle injured at the team’s training facility in Virginia just three days after he was signed by the team. In 2024, the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission (MWCC) denied the claim filed by player Curtis Brooks for his ruptured left Achilles tendon, finding that he was not a covered employee under Maryland law and thus not entitled to workers’ compensation benefits.

Chrysler parent Stellantis is recalling 201,976 Jeep vehicles in the U.S. due to a software error that may cause the tire pressure monitoring system to fail to detect low tire pressure or illuminate the warning light, the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Wednesday. The issue increases crash risk and causes the vehicles to fail to comply with U.S. federal tire-pressure monitoring system safety requirements, NHTSA said.

DBS Bank is being sued for an estimated S$1.298 billion ($1.03 billion) in damages linked to the multibillion-dollar 1MDB scandal, Southeast Asia’s largest lender DBS Group said on Wednesday. The claimants include the liquidators of four companies: BlackRock Commodities (Global), Platinum Global Luxury Services, Affinity Equity International Partners and TKIL Global Investments. The liquidators did not immediately respond to Reuters requests for comment.

A federal judge has declined to approve a class action lawsuit accusing GEICO of underpaying losses for totaled vehicles in New Jersey. The court declined to approve the class after concluding that individual issues outweighed the commonality of the proposed class.

A federal judge has ruled that J.M. Smucker can proceed with a lawsuit against Trader Joe’s over frozen sandwiches that Smucker claims are too similar to its Uncrustables. Smucker sued Trader Joe’s in federal court in Ohio last fall, claiming Trader Joe’s committed a trademark violation when it introduced frozen peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with the same round shape and crimped edges as Uncrustables.
