Published Jun 28, 2026, 6:45 AM EDT The Star Wars franchise has struggled to fit into the medium of television, as the era of Disney+ originals has faced creative problems. While the early seasons of The Mandaloriansufficed as a solid, standalone adventure, the show became muddled by connections to various Dave Filonianimated projects.
After a solid run in the last half decade, Jason Statham hit a bit of a bump earlier this year with Shelter. The movie was released during a period of the year that Statham has staked out for his films; the same period that saw hits such as The Beekeeper and A Working Man. There are very few shows in which every single season is a masterpiece, and there are no episodes that missed the mark.
Published Jun 28, 2026, 5:20 AM EDT With the massive shifts that the action genre has seen in the last decade, it's remarkable that a handful of stars are still able to command a certain degree of respect. Jason Statham, Liam Neeson, and Gerard Butler are among the very few stars who can still get action movies greenlit on the strength of their names. However, streaming has disrupted the market considerably.
