Hiring data from Q2 2026 shows a notable acceleration in roles designed not to replace workers with AI, but to define exactly how humans and AI agents work alongside each other. The trend spans automotive, financial services, pharma, and technology — and the job titles are growing specific. GlobalData's Job Analytics Database tracked continued growth in positions explicitly referencing human-AI collaboration through the second quarter of the year.
Expired Domains Have a Criminal Afterlife, and the Price Tag Runs to Millions
Every day, roughly 65,000 internet domains are re-registered the moment they expire. New research from Infoblox Threat Intel traces a mature criminal market in which threat actors spend millions acquiring the inherited trust, backlinks, and traffic of those addresses — and immediately redirecting them to malware, illegal streaming, scams, and online gambling. The scale of the problem has been visible in aggregate for years.
UK IT Leaders Cite Slowest AI Deployment Times in Global Study as Career Pressure Mounts
A global study of 12,021 IT decision-makers, including 2,011 in the UK, found that 87% of British IT leaders worry their careers are at risk if their organisation's AI efforts fall short. Only the US, at 88%, recorded a higher share.
Anthropic's Claude Watermarking Sparks Debate Over AI Traceability and Content Provenance
A quiet technical decision by Anthropic — embedding invisible watermarks into every Claude text output and C2PA-signed metadata into image files — has ignited a live argument about who controls AI provenance signals, and what they will be used for. Anthropic confirmed this month that supported Claude models now weave an imperceptible watermark directly into generated text. The mark travels with the content when copied, and may survive editing.
inploi joins G-Cloud 15 as NHS trusts and councils seek AI-powered hiring tools
The G-Cloud framework allows central government, NHS trusts, local authorities, and other public bodies to source pre-approved cloud services without running a full procurement exercise. For inploi, which has handled millions of job applications across more than 70,000 vacancies since launching its enterprise platform, the listing opens a direct sales route into a sector where it already has a foothold through a number of NHS customers.
UK SME AI leaders are not the most digitally mature — they're the most intentional, Dell survey finds
Dell's AI in Action report, published today, surveyed 2,726 UK business decision-makers including 2,013 from SMEs and 713 from large businesses. The headline figures are broadly positive: two-thirds of small businesses expect AI to boost their growth over the next three years, and 56% agree it gives them a competitive edge. The average SME recovers 2.5 hours per employee per week through AI use. The more interesting signal is in the small cohort achieving significantly better returns.
How UK Organisations Can Protect Themselves From the Memory and Chip Shortage
The hardest part of the global memory shortage is not the prices. It is that nobody can tell you what the prices will be. DRAM contract prices rose 90–95 per cent in a single quarter in early 2026, the largest quarterly increase ever recorded (TrendForce, 2 February 2026), and the forecasters themselves keep being overtaken: TrendForce's own Q1 2026 estimate had to be revised from 55–60 per cent to 90–95 per cent within four weeks.
Surfshark adds AI-driven SMS scam detection as smishing attacks reach record levels
The cybersecurity company has released scam text protection for iOS and Android users on its Surfshark One and Surfshark One+ plans, extending the VPN provider's scam protection hub with a real-time SMS filtering layer. The feature screens incoming messages for suspicious patterns — phishing URLs, unusual sender numbers, and social engineering content — before the user interacts with them.
Teleport climbs 1,043 places in Inc. 5000 as AI agent identity emerges as an enterprise security priority
The identity surface in enterprise infrastructure is growing faster than the humans on it. Teleport, which builds cryptographic identity infrastructure for AI agents, machines, and workloads alongside people, has ranked 1,508 in the 2026 Inc. 5000 — up from 2,551 the previous year.
