(Tokyo, Japan) has developed a radiolucent carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) component that can reduce X-ray radiation doses by 8% while keeping image quality equal to, or better than, that of conventional counterparts. The company will explore practical applications for the component in X-ray examination equipment, including breast supports of mammography and cassettes.

Source | Hexagon Agility Hexagon Agility (Costa Mesa, Calif., U.S.), a subsidiary of Hexagon Composites (Ålesund, Norway), has received its largest single order for Mobile Pipeline modules to date, from Certarus (Houston, Texas, U.S.) a mobile compressed natural gas (CNG) solutions giant in North America. The order represents an estimated value of $100 million (≈NOK 1 billion), and includes an option to purchase additional modules valued at up to $25 million (≈NOK 250 million) by 2028.
