He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Seoul. After that, he spent one year at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. He received his B.S. in Automation and M.Eng in Software Engineering from Northeastern University, China.

He received a master's degree in Computer Sciences and a PhD in Electric Engineering from CINVESTAV. Dr. Zamora had a post-doctoral position at KAIST, Korea.
